MS Publisher 2003 & 
MS Publisher 2007
This course will introduce you to the world of desk top publishing - whether you want to train in the 2003 version or the 2007 version we will show you how to create your own professional looking business cards, brochures, compliment slips and many other ideas for producing your very own personalised publishing material. The advanced level will also take you into the world of web design.
MS Publisher can be started from foundation level with no previous experience. It is recommended however that the candidate has a basic knowledge of the windows environment.

Visual Basic Programming (VB)
If you have ever wanted to create your own programs or to simply find out more about VB this is the course for you. You will be taught how to create your own programs and learn how to manipulate databases, the internet and use VB within Word and Excel. VB is an event driven programming language which means it is controlled by interactive events such as clicking the mouse or a form.
Visual Basic can be started from foundation level with no previous experience. It is recommended however that the candidate has a basic knowledge of the windows environment and is keen to learn about programming.

MS Project 2003
If you wish to learn how to manage projects successfully, this is the course for you. This project management application will allow you to create projects and tasks, enter work times and costs, provide you with Gantt charts, calendars and graphs that are essential to providing detailed reports of individuals or resources.
MS Project can be started at foundation level. It is recommended however that the candidate has a basic knowledge of the windows environment and should have a basic understanding of the needs of a project manager.

The MS Project exam may be sat as part of the Microsoft Office Specialist qualification.This exam is at a cost of £50 and can be taken at NPTC College.
Visio 2003
Visio is a drawing program that develops into an excellent communication tool. You will learn how to create flowcharts, organisation charts, maps, diagrams layouts and floor plans. You will learn how to use stencils and templates and how to group and merge shapes.
MS Visio 2003 can be started at foundation level. It is recommended however that the candidate has a basic knowledge of the windows environment.
