The Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) credential is a globally recognised standard that validates skills with using the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Windows Vista. The successor to the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) credential, the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist credential meets the demand for the most up-to-date skills on the latest technologies from Microsoft.
Whether you want to differentiate your skills in a competitive job market or make a bigger contribution in your present job, the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist credential proves that you have the in-demand skills that businesses require.
A Microsoft Business Certification shows employers that you have the technical skills to solve real-world problems by using advanced features of Microsoft Office programs and Windows Vista.
Exams are conducted within "live" Microsoft Office programs and this provides managers with an accurate view of employee's skills across the organisation. MCAS certification provides candidates with the means to enhance their skills, prove their expertise, improve their professional performance and advance their careers.
Exams are available on a weekly basis at the college campus. Please contact the Academy for availability.
MCAS can be started from a very basic knowledge of the office suite at foundation level. It is recommended however that the candidate has a basic knowledge of the windows environment.
